Probably our last album for a while. We're not dead, just sleeping (and making music with one another in slightly different instrument configurations for a change).
Thanks to EVERYONE who's downloaded or shared our music, EVERYONE who put us on, EVERYONE who shouted "well you got the wrong end of the fucking stick" along to 'Christmas Party' at one of our shows, and above all, EVERYONE who 'got' our stupid little band. We're forever, eternally grateful for the love and support we've received across the years we've been playing together.
Initially, Wedding was a musical outlet for a bunch of shitty decisions I made in quick succession, but these days it's grown into a celebration of positive relationships, positive career changes, good friends, good times, and growing up.
When I started writing bass riffs that I thought could 'lead' a band, this record is essentially what I envisaged - short, sharp emo / pop / punk / whatever songs that were catchy, passionate and personal. Took us a few years to hone the craft so to speak, but 'Building a House for No One' is as close as I think I will ever get to representing my initial goal.
This is the happiest I have ever been with the recorded output of one of my bands and I think it marks not only our development as a band, but also the development of Jason's recording, mixing and mastering skills. His work on the last Wedding and Kind Eyes recordings has been absolutely off the hook - ANYONE who needs ANYTHING recorded in ANY GENRE, he is seriously the boy to call.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, download and circulate this - I'm super proud of what we've achieved and would love for others to give it a play.
